About Lori Truitt
For more than 16 years, Lori Truitt has been a partner with Payne, Powell, Truitt & Chandler, where she focuses her practice on family law, adoptions, guardianships, estate planning, and probate matters. Having grown up in the Lubbock community, she values the opportunity to help individuals and families navigate some of life’s most significant transitions and challenges with practical guidance, compassion, and experienced legal counsel.
Before joining the firm, Lori practiced with a statewide law firm representing financial institutions and creditors. That experience provided a strong foundation in advocacy and problem-solving, skills she now applies to serving individuals and families throughout West Texas.
Lori is passionate about the practice of law and finds great fulfillment in helping people solve problems they are facing today, while also planning ahead to prevent future legal issues. She values building lasting relationships with her clients and guiding them toward solutions that provide confidence and peace of mind.
In addition to her legal practice, Lori has been actively involved in professional and community leadership. She has served on the board of Goodwill Industries and the Lubbock Area Bar Association, including serving as President of both organizations. She currently serves on the board of CASA, continuing her commitment to advocating for and supporting vulnerable members of the community.
When she is not practicing law, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons. Whether she’s outdoors, attending her boys’ activities, or simply spending time with family and friends, she values the relationships and community that have shaped her life and that she is proud to continue serving.
